Dear Parents and Carers,
As we move towards our last week of term 1 we will move into Holy Week next week. Holy Week follows the final week of Jesus’ life before his death and resurrection. I would like to share a prayer that you are able to pray with your family during the next week.
Good and loving God,
Source of every grace and blessing,
as we gather this week,
we place ourselves before you,
for you are filled with beauty and light and you care deeply for each one of us.
Help us to listen before speaking.
Help us to respect and understand the opinions of others.
Help us to trust one another and share with openness and vulnerability.
May your light enfold us.
May your Spirit guide us.
May your grace abound in us.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen
Traditionally our school has held a liturgy on Holy Thursday and then held an Easter Hat Parade in the afternoon. Next week students will create their hats for the Easter Parade in their classrooms.
Please send in a hat and decorations for your child’s hat. A note will come home tomorrow with further details about the liturgy and hat parade.
Roadworks
The road works and traffic diversions have now started at the intersection of Bent and Farquhar Street. This will affect traffic entering Church Crescent, parking in Farquhar Street and the pedestrian crossing. Please be mindful of these changes when you are around these areas.

Trivia Night
Thankyou to everyone who supported our recent trivia night. It was a wonderful evening which was made all the better for the fabulous donations from our sponsors. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Knoke, Mr and Mrs Lapi-an and Mr and Mrs Buchtmann who did all the behind the scenes work to organise the evening. We continue to raise funds for our new equipment and hopefully with our continued efforts and your support this year we will be able to purchase the equipment by the end of the year.

ANZAC Day
We will be marching as a school in the upcoming ANZAC Day March. Students will need to meet Mrs Lapi-an, Mrs Hunt and Mr Buchtmann at the front of our school on Tuesday the 25th of April at 9.00am. The teachers will then walk with students to the RSL club to join the community in the March at 9.15am and the service at 9.45am. Parents will be able to collect their students at the conclusion of the service from the Wingham Town Hall.
Year 7 2024
If you are considering enrolling your child into Year 7 at St Clare’s next year, enrolment forms will be due at our school office on the 6th of April. There is a large interest in St Clare’s and it is envisaged that there will be a waiting list, so it is really important that you have the enrolment form submitted to us by the due date.
Congratulations Caitlyn
Caitlyn and her brother Lucas are members of the NSW Highlanders, a competition pipe band, that are heading over to Scotland in 2024 to compete at the World Pipe Band Championships. The band is holding a bulb fundraiser to help cover some costs,
such as drum hire, whilst in Scotland. If you would like to support Caitlyn’s fundraising efforts you can order spring flowering bulbs through the following
link by the 6th of April.
Please join me in a prayer for those people around the world whose lives are currently affected by natural disasters, that they find shelter and support during difficult and challenging times.
God Bless

Prime Minister Award
‘Being a steward of creation’, ‘Trying your best’, ‘Speaking with kindness’ and ‘Being a responsible learner’ are some of the qualities that teachers consider when awarding ‘Prime Minister’ at our weekly assembly. It is an acknowledgement of the student’s efforts and they have the privilege of wearing the badge with honour, of suggesting a focus the school can work on, award Gotchas to other students at lunch time as well as earning Gotchas for themselves. Congratulations to Jai Neaves and William Irwin!
MJR Awards
As part of our MJR system, we acknowledge that the following student, has reached 100 Gotchas. Well Done!
