Dear Parents and Carers
We have had a wonderful two weeks and the weather has been amazing. During my visits to classrooms it has been great to see students working to achieve their best and being aware of their learning intentions and success criteria. This has been a focus for our teachers this year and we believe it is making a difference to the way our students engage in their learning.
Maths Challenge Day
On the last afternoon of Term 2 Years 1 – 6 were involved in a Maths Challenge. Year 1 and 2 worked in the hall in small groups on a number of maths problems while our Year 3 – 6 students worked through a series of challenging problems in small groups. This was a great way for our students to demonstrate their learning and understanding in being able to work mathematically.
Semester 1 Reports
On Monday Semester 1 reports were made available on Compass. Due to COVID-19 we are unable to offer parent teacher interviews at this time, however please feel free to call and make a time for a phone call with your child’s teacher if you have any concerns or questions about the reports. If you have not been able to access your child’s reports, please contact the office for assistance.
Our Monday Meal Deals have been a great hit and it is wonderful to see so many parents offer to help in the canteen. Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered to help on these days.
Term Overviews
Teachers will be sending home term overviews this week to give you an idea of what our learning focus will be in each Key Learning Area, don’t forget to keep an eye out for these.
School Fees
This week you would have received your fee statements for the remainder of the year. While we are aware that COVID-19 had had a huge impact on many families, it is important that all families contribute to their fees in some capacity. Please contact the office to make an appointment with me if you are having difficulty in meeting your fees so that we can organise a payment plan and agreement.
Have a wonderful two weeks and please join me in saying a prayer for the people in Beirut who have lost loved ones and their homes due to the devastating blast that occurred this week.
