Dear Parents and Carers,

Joseph was a carpenter and was well known as a working man. He displayed qualities of compassion, purity, and kindness. There are two symbols that are associated with St Joseph, a carpenter’s square, and a lily. Much like our school many St Joseph’s schools have a lily represented in their logo to symbolise their connection to St Joseph.

Cross Country

On the 14th of March, our Year 2 – 6 students travelled to Taree to compete in our Cross Country Carnival. It was a wonderful day, and our students displayed great sportsmanship and ran some excellent races. Thank you to Mr Knoke for his organisation of the day and to the parent helpers who came along to assist on the day.

Year 6 Camp

Last week Year 6 travelled to the Great Aussie Bush Camp with Mrs Cleaver and Mr Wickham. Our students were challenged with some amazing activities. Some of their favourites included the Flying Fox, the High Ropes, and the Giant Swing. Thank you to Mrs Cleaver and Mr Wickham for taking our students away.

Student Led Conferences

Thankyou to all of our parents and carers who came along to our recent student-led conferences. We hope that you enjoyed hearing about your child’s learning. Later this week I will be sending out a brief survey asking for your feedback on the process. We would love to hear your thoughts about student-led conferences and thank you in advance for taking the time to give us some feedback.

Parent Representative

As the leader of our school, I deeply support the role of parents and carers as first educators and prioritise partnering with our students’ caregivers to ensure each child is nurtured to their potential.

To this end, I seek to incorporate family voice in our school’s operations and at a diocesan level.

I am now calling for nominations for the role of Federation Representatives for our school (ideally, two representatives will be elected).
